About the Author

Scott Rickey is a writer based in Cuenca, Ecuador. His work draws on a lifelong interest in human behavior, history, geopolitics, and the psychological forces that shape individual identity and social systems. Before turning to fiction, he spent many years studying cognitive therapy and neuropsychology, experiences that strongly influenced his character-driven storytelling and focus on internal transformation.

Having lived on multiple continents and experienced diverse cultures firsthand, Scott brings a global perspective to his writing. His fiction combines psychological depth with tightly controlled tension and high-stakes action, blending psychological realism with speculative and political themes that explore how individuals navigate systems of power, belonging, and personal change.

This is his debut novel.
